Number of Choices per Multiple Choice Questions: For multiple choice or multiple answer questions, Quik-Poll allows up to 26 choices. This speeds data entry by assigning one letter of the alphabet for each choice. Need more choices? Just seqment your question into several sections.
Multiple Answer Questions: Most survey systems don't allow more than one answer to a multiple choice question. But Quik-Poll allows 26 different answers to a question simultaneously. For example, a question such as "Check all of the appliances listed below which are in your home" is easily handled by Quik-Poll as ONE question,
Internet Capabilities: Quik-Poll automatically prepares either off-line or on-line surveys. For Web site surveys, the program designs an HTML form, an all-purpose CGI program, and provides routines for automatically analyzing results.
Skip Patterns: Any multiple choice question can have a predetermined skip pattern. Based on the answers to various choices, the program can be set to skip ahead to any other question number in the survey.
Open-End Questions: Surveys can have as many open-end (essay response) questions as needed. These can be categorized electronically using key search words.
Ranking or Rating Questions: The program does ranking or rating questions for up to 26 different choices, each ranked or rated by up to 26 different scores.
Matrix Questions: This feature lets you pack a tremendous amount of information into one question. For example: "For each of the following 26 magazines, indicate how you purchased them." A matrix questions can contain 26 choices times 26 choices!
Percentage Questions: This special question type allows entry of perentages for each of 14 different items.
Break-Outs: A break-out is a subset of questionnaires based on responses to particular questions. Quik-Poll can create a break-out electronically by selecting only the questionnaires which respond in a particular way to a question. You can make break-outs of break-outs to the nth degree. These break-outs can then be saved by name and used throughout Quik-Poll as mini-surveys. This is the super analysis tool of Quik-Poll than lifts you beyond ordinary tabulations.
Cross-Tabulations: Quik-Poll does cross-tabulations for any two questions using the entire set of responses. Or cross-tabulations can be done using any break-out. Percentages can be pre-set to calculate by rows, columns or individual cells.
Cluster Analysis: If you have questions with similar choices as answers, Quik-Poll lets you select two or more of these and automatically calculates "average" answers for the group.
Dates and Times Questions: You can enter times-of-day or dates (days,months,years)and Quik-Poll will calculate date intervals and produce hourly work charts.
Weighting of Tabulations: Sometimes your survey is not representative of the "universe" you are surveying. Quik-Poll will let you weight your survey to give proper emphasis to your results!
Unexpected Comments: People who respond to your questionnaires sometimes have extra thoughts or suggestions that you didn't allow for. How do you record these? Quik-Poll has a text block window for every question in every questionnaire, and you can type the comment into this window. Later you can edit them and print them to paper or file.
Numerical Questions: The program does regression analysis, calculates mean and median, and does interval analysis for questions with quantities as responses.
Help Manual: The complete 200 page Quik-Poll Manual, "Surveys for Success" is built into the program in the form of help screens which can be printed out if needed. The manual gives useful explanations on surveys in general and Quik-Poll in particular.
